The rules of Minesweeper are easy to learn, but mastering the game can
be quite challenging. The game is played on a grid, with the objective
being to uncover all non-mined tiles without clicking on a mine.
Starting the game
When you begin, the grid is fully hidden. The first cell you click will
never contain a mine. From there, each click reveals:
Empty Cells
Cells with no adjacent mines, which will automatically reveal a
surrounding area of safe cells.
Numbered Cells
Cells displaying a number, indicating the count of mines in the
surrounding eight cells.
Key Actions
Reveal Cells: Left-click or tap a cell to uncover it. If
it's a mine, the game is over; otherwise, it will display either a number
or an empty area.
Flag Mines: Right-click or long-press to place a flag on
cells you suspect contain mines. Flags serve as reminders and prevent
accidental clicks on potential mines.
Auto-Open Adjacent Cells: If a numbered cell's surrounding
mines are all flagged, clicking the number will reveal any remaining
unflagged neighbors, speeding up gameplay.
Winning and Losing
Win
You win by revealing all safe cells, leaving only mines covered or
flagged.
Lose
Clicking on a mine ends the game immediately.
Tips to Remember
Use flags to mark potential mines.
Numbers are clues to neighboring mines; use these logically to guide
your clicks.
Larger open areas provide information for clearing out sections more
quickly.
Enjoy the challenge of solving the board by thinking ahead and carefully
analyzing each cell!
